{"id":916,"date":"2021-10-14T15:14:50","date_gmt":"2021-10-14T11:14:50","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","slug":"Vegetarian-Mushroom-Philly-Cheese-Steak-Sandwiches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/331333.xyz\/index.php\/2021\/10\/14\/Vegetarian-Mushroom-Philly-Cheese-Steak-Sandwiches\/","title":{"rendered":"Vegetarian Mushroom Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients:<br \/>\n1 tablespoon butter, divided<br \/>\n1 tablespoon olive oil, divided<br \/>\n1 (8 ounce) package baby bella (cremini) mushrooms, sliced<br \/>\n\u00bd teaspoon fresh thyme leaves<br \/>\nsalt and freshly ground black pepper to taste<br \/>\n1 tablespoon soy sauce<br \/>\n1 bell pepper, sliced into strips<br \/>\n1 onion, sliced<br \/>\n2 slices provolone cheese, cut in half<br \/>\n2 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise<br \/>\n2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, or more to taste<\/p>\n<p>Directions:<br \/>\nPreheat toaster oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).<\/p>\n<p>Heat 1 1\/2 teaspoon butter and 1 1\/2 teaspoon oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking, about 2 minutes. Toss in mushroom slices; season with thyme leaves, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir until mushrooms start to brown and are tender, about 5 minutes. Drizzle soy sauce over mushrooms, toss briefly and transfer to a bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Wipe out skillet. Heat remaining butter and oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking, about 2 minutes. Toss in peppers and onions; season with salt and pepper. Cook and stir until soft, about 5 minutes. Transfer peppers and onions to the bowl with the cooked mushrooms; toss to combine.<\/p>\n<p>Place rolls on toaster oven baking tray. Spread mustard over 2 halves. Place 1 piece provolone cheese over each half.
