{"id":1729,"date":"2022-07-03T21:51:57","date_gmt":"2022-07-03T17:51:57","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2022-07-03T21:51:57","modified_gmt":"2022-07-03T17:51:57","slug":"LentilVeggie-Burger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/331333.xyz\/index.php\/2022\/07\/03\/LentilVeggie-Burger\/","title":{"rendered":"LentilVeggie\u00a0Burger"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients:<br \/>\n  1 red onion, thinly sliced<br \/>\n  1\/2 cupapple cider vinegar<br \/>\n  1 1\/2 teaspoonssalt, plus more as needed<br \/>\n  1 cupdried lentils (green or brown)<br \/>\n  4 ouncesmushrooms (cremini or similar), finely chopped<br \/>\n  1\/4 teaspoonsmoked paprika<br \/>\n  2 tablespoonsolive oil<br \/>\n  1\/4 cupall-purpose flour<br \/>\n   Freshly ground black pepper<br \/>\n  6 whole-wheat burger buns, sliced<br \/>\n   Cucumber, thinly sliced<br \/>\n   Cilantro, microgreens, or other green<br \/>\n   Sir Kensington\u2019s Classic Vegan Mayo<\/p>\n<p>Directions: <\/p>\n<p>Combine sliced red onions, apple cider vinegar, salt, and 1 cup water in a bowl and let sit for at least 1 hour.<br \/>\nCook lentils until just tender, according to package instructions. (Rinse lentils before cooking. Place 1 cup lentils in a large pot with 4 cups water and \u00bd tsp salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, cover and cook until tender, about 20 to 30 minutes; drain well.)<br \/>\nOnce cooked, spread lentils evenly on a sheet pan and cool for 10 to 15 minutes.<br \/>\nOnce cooled, add lentils to a mixing bowl with chopped mushrooms, smoked paprika, and olive oil and mash the mixture, leaving some bigger pieces.<br \/>\nAdd flour and continue to stir until the mixture holds together, then form into 6 patties and season with salt and pepper.<br \/>\nWorking in batches, cook burger patties in a non-stick pan with olive oil until well browned on both sides.<br \/>\nTo build the burger, generously spread Sir Kensington\u2019s Classic Vegan Mayo (or Classic Mayonnaise) on both the top and bottom bun.
