{"id":1617,"date":"2022-04-04T22:49:01","date_gmt":"2022-04-04T18:49:01","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2022-04-04T22:49:01","modified_gmt":"2022-04-04T18:49:01","slug":"BourbonCitrus-Crush","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/331333.xyz\/index.php\/2022\/04\/04\/BourbonCitrus-Crush\/","title":{"rendered":"BourbonCitrus\u00a0Crush"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients:<br \/>\nFor the cocktail:<br \/>\n  2 parts Maker\u2019s Mark 46\u00ae bourbon<br \/>\n  1\/2 part lemongrass syrup<br \/>\n  1\/4 part freshly squeezed lime juice<br \/>\n  1\/4 part freshly squeezed lemon juice<br \/>\n  3 dashesorange bitters<br \/>\n   Fresh orange peel, for garnish<br \/>\n  1 (6-inch) piece of lemongrass stalk, for garnish<br \/>\nFor the lemongrass syrup:<br \/>\n  1 stalk lemongrass<br \/>\n  1 cupwater<br \/>\n  1 cupwhite sugar<\/p>\n<p>Directions: <\/p>\n<p>Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice and shake until well-chilled.<br \/>\nStrain into a rocks glass over ice.<br \/>\nSqueeze the orange peel (peel side facing the glass) over the cocktail to release its oils and rub on the rim of the glass. Drop the peel into the glass and add the lemongrass stalk as a garnish.<br \/>\nCut the lemongrass stalk into 2-inch pieces, and use the back of the knife to crush each of the pieces.<br \/>\nAdd the lemongrass and water to a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.<br \/>\nRemove from heat and stir in the sugar until fully dissolved. Let cool completely and strain.
