Ingredients:
For the cocktail:
1 part Basil Hayden® Kentucky Straight Bourbon
3/4 part strawberry puree
1/2 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 part Aperol
1/4 part Luxardo
Sparkling wine
1 splash soda water
Fresh orange slice, for garnish
For the strawberry puree:
1 cupfrozen strawberries
1 cupwater
1 1/2 cupssugar
Directions:
Combine the Basil Hayden® Kentucky Straight Bourbon, strawberry puree, lemon juice, Aperol, and Luxardo in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously to combine.
Fine-strain the cocktail into a Champagne flute.
Top off the drink with sparkling wine and a splash of soda water. Garnish with a fresh orange slice and serve.
Combine the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let cool slightly. Puree the ingredients in a blender and strain into a container. Let cool completely and store in the refrigerator.
